We used puddle jumpers with my oldest. We didn’t know any better. It gave him false confidence in the water and he thought he could swim. When swim time was over one day, he snuck out to the pool and jumped in thinking he would swim and he couldn’t. He drowned. Thankfully he survived but he has a brain injury. He was three years old and lost his ability to walk, talk, and eat by mouth. He has a feeding tube. I try to warn everyone I can about the dangers of puddle jumpers.
