I resuscitated a three year old when I was 6 months pregnant at the public pool. It was not my child. The child was use to having a puddle jumper on and got out of mom’s sight. She was watching the other three children in the water while the three year old ran to the bathroom. I saw the life guards pull him out. I use to be a PICU nurse, so I ran over and started CPR. Thank God we got the child back. I have used a puddle jumper one time with my four children, but refuse to buy one after that incident. My children take swim lessons year round for safety.
