We were attending a friend’s birthday party at a private residence. My son, who was 4, took off his life jacket to be like the big kids (he left it behind my back). Thank goodness my friend asked where Graham was because he was without his jacket. I found him floating on the top of the water (he went unseen in a pool full of people). A friend, who is a respiratory therapist, performed CPR and got him to wake up. By the time we made it to the children’s hospital, he was off oxygen. He was released from the hospital less than 24 hours after his accident. He even played t-ball that night.
